This pinecone is as close to a house warming gift as we got. It was given to us by our neighbour's three year old son. Over the years it has been interesting to see it open and close, depending on the temperature. Right now, it has hibernated itself up.

Today I tried to break in a pair of jeans that really don't fit properly. It's annoying, because my favourite pair of jeans are getting thinner and thinner, yet they fit so well. Problem is a good fit doesn't come out of no-where. It takes years!

Last term I mentioned the hot air balloon that was meant to come to our school, but the day was too windy to put it up.
Today however, we were treated to a spectacular balloon on our field. As one of the 3 male teachers, I was commandeered to help get it set up. Although it was hard work, it gave me some interesting angles of the balloon that most people don't get to see.

This afternoon I headed out to red rocks with my twitter mate Stewart Baird (@sxbaird) and others, to take some photos out and about. It was good to meet some new people, however useless I am at meeting people. But I felt like I might have gotten a few decent photos out of it, whilst managing to keep my feet dry.

This morning was task-force "put-bark-chips-down-on-the-local-playcentre-playground". Many, many shovelfulls into wheelbarrows and a trailer, and an hour later we had complete the task and it was time to head home to rest ones back.

Today I finally got my desk mixed up and hooked up. Then I managed to get my condenser mic plugged in, and gosh it sounds good! Recorded up until the battery in my laptop went flat. Probably needs some work with the whole mixing and balancing thing, and definitely need to think about my singing and how to get it sounding all right.

Tonight is Homegroup night and tonight we discussed 'Wives submit to your husbands'. We looked for bible references that suggest men and women should in fact be equal. It proved more worthwhile to make some good drawings!
In the end we decided that through Christ, we have all been made equal in the eyes of God.

Tonight, after having prepared this activity many months ago, we finally managed to do this at our homegroup as part of our worship.
I collected various objects and put them in a bag. Each member chooses an item, blind, and completes the sentence:
"God is like a (object they chose), because..."
It was really interesting what everyone came up with for the different objects, and it got us thinking about God in new and refreshing ways.

Lately I have been working on a re-design for my site. I wanted to showcase my photography a little more. So even though I love the Impress.js script, and my sight got plenty of hits because it showcased the script, it's time to move on.
